Roughly 3 weeks left until Students Matchplay 2011 tee-off, we offer the remaining flights in our tournament - so gather your friends and apply now! Extra-info for all students who wish to join our tournament, but who cannot find three other golf-buddies with a similiar hcp from their university: In some exceptions, we will also offer mixed "allstar-teams" for students from different universities. Ask us for more information on this issue!

Application process for Students Matchplay 2011 Tournament running now!

Students Matchplay has started its application process for the 2011 tournament! For this year, we are again looking forward for applications from student-teams from all over the world.

Gather your buddies and apply for the tournament which will be hosted during June 23-26, 2011 close to Ingolstadt / Bavaria. Mixed teams (male / female as well as undergraduate / graduate / phd students) are allowed and appreciated. The only requirement is that you attend the same university and have a quite competitive handicap: The past tournaments had teams with average handicaps of +1.5 to -9, with an overall average handicap of -3. Teams consist of 4 players each.

Finding the correct tournament-date is a bit of a gamble. We - the organization-team - need to make all sorts of bookings and reservations as early as july of the previous year. Unfortunatelly the German Golfers Federation publishes their official tournament schedule not until december/january.

We had a look at their website and - luckily -  only a few regional and national tournaments are scheduled on our Students Matchplay weekend. The following table gives you further information.

Fantastic Filmquiz

John Daly, Steve Essex, and Felix Naumann have one thing in common. They are crazy golf addicts. John has won two majors in the early and mid ninetees, Steve has lost twice in one day to Johannes during the SM06-finals, and Felix Naumann was a television journalist prior to entering university and is probably Europe's biggest talent in university golf marketing. His swing is said to have won most potential for improvement for many years, though...check his latest video.

Some weeks ago, the Orga Team Ingolstadt hold its first official Kick-Off-Meeting for the 2011 Stundents Matchplay and we prepared ourselves for the new Tournament this summer.
